How to deliver advanced vision solutions through personalised lenses

10 October 2019

Being able to dispense personalised lenses is a huge advantage for any optometrist.
Being able to dispense personalised lenses is a huge advantage for any optometrist. You can deliver a unique service for each patient. Personalised lenses ensure your patients are experiencing advanced vision with extra precision. But how do you achieve this?

Today’s consumers expect a more personal service when it comes to pretty much everything, from an optician to online shopping. Many patients believe that all lenses are the same. It is your job to dispel this myth and deliver a unique service that will impress them and ensure they come back to your practice again and again.

By becoming an Essilor Bespoke practice, you can unlock access to advanced vision solutions with personalised lenses. This is achieved by using modern technology and the most up-to-date optical equipment.

No more approximate measuring

With Essilor Bespoke you will have the latest dispensing technology. Giving you a new and innovative way to dispense your patient’s lenses. Measuring a patient’s unique Eyecode, you can produce lenses that offer a comfortable, instant and accurate vision.

Lenses designed using Eyecode are tailormade to the patients' eyes and physiology. Resulting in lenses that are up to five times more precise than standard versions.

Visioffice 2 and Visioffice X are the only measuring devices that can measure a patient’s Eyecode. Both dispensing machines measure all physiological and behavioural parameters, giving an accurate and precise way to dispense and fit lenses.

How does it work?

Everyone’s vision differs, whether it is down to a refractive error, or different shaped eyes. The eye rotation centre for each patient can differ by up to 30%, which can have a huge impact on the lenses you prescribe.

Using Eyecode through Visioffice, a 3D representation of the eye rotation centre (ERC) in each eye is captured. This is embedded into the chosen lens to create greater accuracy. Knowing each patient’s unique ERC, you can calculate gaze direction, which results in a complete lens to eye alignment.

Visioffice carries out all measurements quickly and accurately, with 3D measurement as standard. Its high definition camera can adapt to all patients to ensure every pair of lenses are fitted precisely, with instantly clearer vision.

Being able to dispense lenses of this calibre gives you a unique selling point and differentiates your practice. Find out more about becoming an Essilor Bespoke practice today.
