How is dry eye diagnosed?

Dry eye can be caused by a number of factor such as ageing, diseases, surgeries and certain medications.
Dry eyes can be diagnosed through the evaluation of the patient’s quantity and quality of tears produced. The Idra device from Sbm allows for an individual analysis of your patient’s tear film. This quick detailed structure shows results from the lipid, aqueous, mucin and meibonian gland allowing you to identify the type of Dry Eye Disease (DED) and determine the correct treatment for the specific layers.
