Bolon terms and conditions
The product supplied under the brand name: Bolon includes the frame, non prescription lenses, frame case and cleaning cloth.
All orders placed by the buyer are subject to acceptance by the seller. Orders may not be cancelled or rescheduled without Essilor’s written consent and notification to the buyer.
Initial orders must meet the 12 piece minimum order quantity. .
All initial orders must be taken by your Essilor account manager and must identify the following: frame model and colour code, unit quantities and your account details; account number, account name, contact name, email address, date of order and the buyer's signature.
On receipt of your order
The buyer shall complete the inspection of the products within 30 days upon the receipt of the products. Products that are not returned within the 30 day period will be deemed as conforming.
If a product arrives damaged, you will need to fill in a returns form found on the Essilor website within the 30 day period. Contact the Essilor returns team for any queries.
Conditions of return:
The Products returned by the buyer to Essilor Ltd shall meet the following conditions:
(i) have complete packaging, including the package, the instructions, the frame tag, the frame case and cleaning cloth, and
(ii) the product must be in new condition, unworn.
(iii) the product must not have been glazed
Essilor Ltd returns acceptant conditions
Essilor Ltd may refuse the return of the products in the following circumstances:
(i) any Products that are not the Products supplied by Essilor Ltd.
(ii) any Sunglasses Products whose anti-falsification label or code is damaged (anti-falsification label is removed from the glasses);
(iii) any Products that are deformed or damaged due to the fact that such Products have not been packed in the same manner as delivered by the Supplier.
Initial orders are supplied at a four week lead time and supplied faster where possible.
Frame only orders are supplied with a lead time of two working days.
Glazed orders are supplied with a lead time of seven working days.
The Bolon manufacturing guarantee covers manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for the period of two years from the date of purchase. All guarantee claims are subject to a case by case evaluation.
Frames returned under the guarantee
On validation, a credit note will be issued for the returned frame. You will be invoiced for the replacement frame.
Examples of what is covered:
- Delamination and/or peeling of sun lens coating
- Premature flaking or deterioration of frame coating
- Soldering defects of temple hinges and/or barrels
Examples of what is not covered:
- Normal wear and tear (scratches or pit marks on sun lenses )
- Any damages caused by accident, abuse, neglect, shock, improper use or storage of product
- Damage caused by excessive heat or chemicals (hair spray, cologne, window cleaner, alcohol, etc…)
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs
- Loss of eyewear
End of season returns
Essilor Ltd do not accept stock back at the end of the season. Notification will be made with a minimum of one month notice prior to any product discontinuation.

Spare parts availability, lead time and cost vary by product will be provided on a case by case basis.
Promotional material (for example, posters and point-of-sale materials) supplied by Essilor Ltd may not be altered in any way. Users of such promotional materials are authorised to insert details of the sales outlet into the appropriate section in such promotional material but are not otherwise entitled to place any additional statements or trademarks unless agreed in writing by Essilor Ltd.
Promotional material supplied by Essilor Ltd must be used exclusively for the sale of products manufactured or supplied by Essilor Ltd.
Any promotional material supplied by Essilor Ltd must be kept in good condition and may only be used in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Essilor Ltd shall be entitled to repossess at any time any promotional material supplied by them.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that any Essilor visuals used either in print or digital format are still within copyrights’ date. Visual availability and copyrights information can be found on ecp.essilor.co.uk.
The Bolon payment terms will remain the same payment terms that are currently in place with Essilor Ltd.
