The Pathology



Dry eye syndrome can affect 5-15% of the population with symptoms increasing with age. An increase in screen usage, artificial lighting, air pollution and other elements from our modern lifestyle can make dry eye symptoms an ever increasing nuisance.
 
Dry eye syndrome is commonly caused by insufficient tears or excessive evaporation. A large majority of cases are due to evaporation caused by insufficiency of the external lipid layer of the lacrymal film secreted by the Meibomian glands.

The Treatment

E-Eye generates sculpted, regulated train pulses. The energy, spectrum and time are precisely set to stimulate the Meibomian glands in order for them to return to a normal function.
 
Protective eyewear is placed over the patient’s eyes and optical gel is applied on the cheek and temporal area. A series of 5 flashes are applied under one eye and then repeated under the other. Sessions only take a few minutes with instant improvements.
 
For optimal results, it is recommended to run a full series of treatments:

  • Day 15
  • Day 45
  • Day 75 (optional)
